We had a wonderful time on our Grades 1-5 field trip to Gardom Lake. Students played cooperative games outdoors and the weather was awesome! It was great to see students run around searching for items and playing together with cross grade activities!

We had our first visit with our Grade 6 buddies and spent time doing a devotional as well as an activity together. Students worked with their buddies to colour a prayer wheel (places that we can pray)! Everyone was enjoying getting to know one another.
We had our first spelling list and students are recalling their sounds quite well. Well done Grade 2’s! Students worked on understanding subjects and predicates in a sentence, wrote 3 personal goals for this year at school and on comprehension stories to demonstrate their understandings.
Reading Logs – Please remember to record the date & number of minutes that your child reads daily. The September log is due on the 30th. Your child is excited to earn their reading prize (4,000 minutes total)! Thank you for your support at home and helping foster a love of reading for your child:)
Students continue to work on Number Sense and this week expanded to numbers to 20 using ten frames, charts and tens and ones blocks.
There were lots of smiling faces today for photo day, looking forward to seeing how they turn out:)
Have a blessed weekend and enjoy these beautiful fall days!
